Aug. 11, 2010 |
The September 2010 Visa Bulletin shows encouraging progression
in several in visa categories. Of note, the Service is
now processing petitions with priority dates as early as January 1, 2010
for F-2A preference petitions for all countries,
except the Dominican Republic. |

Aug. 6, 2010 |
The 2011 fiscal year filing period for cap-subject H-1B petitions is
now open.
So far, USCIS
has received 28,500 petitions towards the H-1B Regular Cap, and
11,900 petitions towards the H-1B Master's Exemption Cap.

The Department
of Health and Human Services published poverty guidelines for 2010.
No changes were made from 2009 guidelines. |

July 26, 2010 |
USCIS announced
that starting on October 1, 2010, domestic offices and US
territories will no longer accept cash payment. Customers may now
pay fees using checks , money orders, and credit cards. |

July 19, 2010 |
The
Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy has
suspended National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) testing in
Egypt, India, Pakistan, and the Philippines until a new exam can be
developed. It is projected that the new exam will not be
available until the late 2011. |
